About Tammy

by | Jan 22, 2024

My journey to telehealth trauma counseling can best be summed up by the last line of Robert Frost’s poem The Road Not Taken: “I took the road less traveled, and that has made all the difference.” For the first 20 years of my adult life, I raised children and explored a variety of career options that included technology, holistic health, and education. My career shift to counseling didn’t begin until my early 40s.

My Ideal Client

Overachieving, perfectionistic people-pleasers wanted! You’re successful and everyone knows it. No one would ever suspect how much you worry and second-guess yourself. Yet, away from the spotlight, you’re overwhelmed with taking care of everything and everyone. You’re absolutely sure that one wrong move will send your carefully crafted world crashing down. If this sounds familiar, I’d love to meet with you to strategize how we might work together to give you some real relief.

My Core Values

I passionately believe that everyone has the ability to grow and change, regardless of background or life experiences; I bring this confidence to every therapy session, actively seeking to bring out the very best in each person. No one is beyond hope; healing is always possible.

My Passion

I’ve devoted my practice to telehealth services because they meet the needs and desires of most people and my preferences for a healthy work/life balance. It’s an option that allows me to share my best self with those I serve.

My Qualifications

  • 15 years’ experience
  • Master of Arts in Professional Counseling
  • Board Certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors
  • EMDR Trained
  • Certified Clinical Trauma Professional
  • Licensed to practice in Arizona, Utah, Iowa, Kansas, Florida, & Vermont
