The Tale of Migraine Awarness Month
Welcome to the 2nd Annual
Migraine and Headache Awareness Month
Blogging Challenge!
Last year on the first day of Migraine Awareness Month, I posted this short story on Facebook in a migraine support group. Two beautiful migraine warriors picked it up and reposted it on the sponsoring website. It is only fitting to launch the 2013 Migraine and Headache Awareness Month with this same tale.
Dedicated to the mighty warriors who fight today
so others will win the war tomorrow.
This year I am focusing my efforts on building awareness for my “other” headache disorder, Cluster Headaches. To read my posts for the Blogging Challenge, click on the Cluster Headache link at the top of the page.

Migraine was ruining my life. It stole countless important moments. Migraine even stole my career. I was desperate for relief and almost gave up. Yet there was this small spark of stubbornness that refused to give up. Determined to find solutions, I took charge of my treatment. Now I control migraine. It does not control me. I even got my career back! Now, I'm dedicated to helping others discover a life of peaceful coexistence with migraine and headache and empowering them to embrace joy and a sense of purpose.
